A friendly match between the UGPA association and the Toofan Foundation followed by a donation of sports equipment to orphanages and training centers on the Agaza field this Saturday, October 7, 2023.
As part of an initiative aimed at promoting sports and supporting local orphanages and training centers, the UGPA association (A Gesture for the Future) and the Toofan Foundation organized a friendly match followed by a donation of sports equipment on the Agaza field this Saturday, October 7, 2023.
This charitable event, which aims to encourage sports practice among underprivileged youth, brought together members of the UGPA association and representatives of the Toofan Foundation, founded by the renowned Togolese musical group of the same name.
The friendly match, which pitted players from the UGPA association against a team composed of members of the Toofan Foundation, was marked by fraternity and sportsmanship. Both teams demonstrated their talent and dedication, providing an engaging spectacle for the present spectators.
After the match, with a score of 2-1 in favor of UGPA, a ceremony for the donation of sports equipment took place. Complete uniforms and shoes were given to orphanages and training centers present at the event. These donations will enable the young beneficiaries to access quality equipment to practice their favorite sport under favorable conditions.
The UGPA association, which has been working for many years to promote the well-being of children, through its President Mr. DJATO Bassina Adam, expressed satisfaction in contributing to the development of disadvantaged children and adolescents by offering them the opportunity to engage in sports activities.
The Toofan Foundation, on its part, emphasized its commitment to supporting young talents and promoting their social inclusion through sports. The donation of sports equipment is a significant step in their philanthropic action, aiming to provide opportunities for underprivileged youth to realize their potential.
This collaboration between the UGPA association and the Toofan Foundation illustrates a beautiful union between a passion for sports and charitable action. It also demonstrates the willingness of civil society and cultural actors to engage in social causes and actively contribute to the development of youth.
This beneficial initiative foreshadows a promising future for these children, who will find in sports a means to flourish and build themselves, as expressed by Colonel Guy AKPOVI, President of the Togolese Football Federation.
