UGPA Puts A Smile on Students Faces

Faithful to its mission of putting smiles on children’s faces and ensuring them a better future, the association Un Geste Pour l’Avenir “UGPA” once again upheld its tradition at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.

To start this school year, UGPA brought its support to EPP Hagblevou in the Zio prefecture, specifically in the Zio1 municipality, where 103 underprivileged students received school kits including notebooks, pens, geometry sets, colored pencils, and erasers.

This initiative aligns with UGPA’s core mission: to bring smiles to those in need without discrimination and to work towards ensuring a bright future for them.

These underprivileged children were selected by the school’s administration due to their circumstances just one week before the school term began.

The school director expressed gratitude, saying, “It fills me with joy; we didn’t expect this, and we sincerely thank UGPA. I hope this activity doesn’t stop this year, but becomes routine. The students will be proud. May the Almighty help you to move forward,” said Etsè Yoa, addressing UGPA.

The joy was also shared by the donors. Bringing a smile to someone else brings a smile to UGPA.

For Adams Djato, “When we were young, people with goodwill visited us with school kits and other donations, which made us very happy and enabled us to study and be where we are today. So why not do the same for others, giving an underprivileged person the chance to fulfill their dreams? That is our motivation, and it’s a great pleasure,” explained the president of UGPA.

Un Geste Pour l’Avenir also organizes end-of-year gifts for underprivileged children to celebrate Christmas in a specific place. The event is planned for this year again, but the location and date will be announced later.
